Joe Borg is a queer screenwriter, director and tarot card reader of Maltese heritage based in East London.

A prolific writer with a natural flair, Joe creates unique stories with mass commercial appeal. Although his scripts differ in genre and format, the common thread through them all is his unique take on the human condition; often with a subtle blend of comedy, and characters that jump off the page.

Repped by Screen Talent, Joe has written a wealth of original and genre-bending features, TV and short screenplays, with many of his scripts reaching the final stages in reputable global screenwriting competitions. His feature Sundays Only was awarded Feature Winner in the BlueCat Screenplay Competition 2020.

In 2024, a short film Joe wrote, Cursive, was chosen for the BFI Flare 2024 London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival and Five Films For Freedom: a global LGBTQIA+ short-film celebration, amongst other festivals.
